Armchair BEA: Introductions!

http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-eBV2OtvJVdg/T8RLSqwUU1I/AAAAAAAAAUo/vDctHM_i-NA/s190/armchairbea2.jpg

ARMCHAIR BEA IS HERE.

I'm ecstatic to announce that I'm participating in Armchair BEA for the SECOND year in a row, because once again, I did not go to BEA. (Maybe next year? or the year after that? or maybe the year after that one?)

Nonetheless, I love these posts, and even though I planned on going on a hiatus until the end of school (June 7th!), I decided these posts were necessary! So here I am, doing these awesome Armchair BEA posts!

Today, June 4th, the idea was to introduce yourself to all your followers and other Armchair BEA participants. So here I am, answering some questions for all of you wonderful people!

1. Please tell us a little bit about yourself: Who are you? How long have you been blogging? Why did you get into blogging?
At first sight, I'm a 15-year-old (to be 16!) that can be outgoing or completely quiet at times. I'm dubbed as "the smart one", but I know how to have fun. To be honest, I'm actually Alexis: a girl that loves reading, archery, Doctor Who, music, graphic design, llamas, glasses, playing guitar, and blogging. In other words, I'm a pretty random person that likes to do many different things! Under this blog, I've been blogging as The Literature Lion since mid-April of 2011, but from Sept. 2011-March 2012, I took a hiatus due to school. I got it blogging, because like every other book blogger, I love books and reading! Everything about them is enjoyable to me!

2. What are you currently reading, or what is your favorite book you have read so far in 2012?
I just started The List by Siobhan Vivian, and I'm going to start Insurgent one of these days! My favorite books of 2012 so far are:  The Fault In Our Stars by John Green, Anna Dressed In Blood by Kendare Blake, The Selection by Kiera Cass, Illuminate by Aimee Agresti, Incarnate by Jodi Meadows, and The False Prince by Jennifer Nielsen.

3. Tell us one non-book-related thing that everyone reading your blog may not know about you.
I've been vegetarian for 3 years! I love fashion and make-up! I do archery and play guitar!

4. If you could eat dinner with any author or character, who would it be and why?
Hm, probably Suzanne Collins or Jace from the Mortal Instruments!

5. Have your reading tastes changed since you started blogging?
Not very much, except for the fact that I've been reading A LOT more. I used to read a lot of paranormal, and I still do, but I've been trying new types of books as well! My reading habits did change though: I take notes when I read now!

  1. I second Anna Dressed in Blood - really enjoyed it :) Congratulations on being a vegetarian - I eat mostly chicken but haven't made the plunge yet.

  5. I have recommended your blog to my daughter as she seems a younger version of you. She also loves Dr. Who and Anna Dressed in Blood and is a vegetarian. Have fun with ABEA.

  9. Archery is so interesting! I've always wanted to try, but I don't think there are any places around me that do it...although Hunger Games has sparked an interest everywhere in it, so hopefully one will pop up soon! Also, Jace is a great choice :)

Glad you decided to participate in Armchair BEA! :)

  11. I really hope I can go to BEA next year too! Everyone keeps talking about it like it's the most amazing thing in the world, and I just want to meet all of those amazing bloggers whose blogs I follow -- I can foresee a totally awesome bookish party! ;)

Anyways, it's so nice to meet you, Alexis! I'm a fifteen-year-old blogger too so I couldn't help but squeal to find another teenager like me around the blogosphere! *hugs* I hope I'll see you around more -- maybe we could eat dinner with Jace together? :') <3
